Saint Patrick's Day Run for Your Luck 5k to Benefit Washington County Maryland Community Free Clinic
Hagerstown, MD (PRWEB) February 20, 2014 -- Will the luck of the Irish carry you to the finish during the Saint Patrick’s Day Run for Your Luck 5k? Open to runners and walkers of all ages, the annual event sponsored by the Washington County Recreation Department, City of Hagerstown and the Washington County Community Free Clinic will take place Saturday, March 15, 2014, beginning at 8:30 a.m.

Registration:
A registration fee of $25 for 5k Runners, $15 for One-Mile Fitness Walkers and $10 for 4-Leaf Clover Kids Runners can be paid online, at: http://raceit.com/search3/event.aspx?id=25553. Race day registration fees will be $30 for 5k Runners, $20 for One-Mile Fitness Walkers and $10 for 4-Leaf Clover Kids Runners, so register early!
Registrants can also fill out a paper form at: https://www.washco-md.net/recreation/pdf/2014STP.pdf and drop off payment or mail to: Washington County Recreation Department, 11400 Robinwood Dr. Hagerstown, Md. 21742. Please make checks payable to Washington County Treasurer.
The first 1,000 entries will be guaranteed a race-day t-shirt and the first 700 participants will receive gift bags with $5 City Center Certificates courtesy of the Economic Development Office of the City of Hagerstown.
Race Day Schedule:
8:00 - 9:45 a.m. Race Day Registration/Packet Pickup
9:15 a.m.
4-Leaf Clover Kid’s Run:
For children ages 3-10, racers will begin at Hagerstown City Square and finish in front of the Maryland Theatre (approximately 600 meters). Every Shamrock Kids Run participant will receive a prize.
9:45 a.m. Opening Remarks, City Center Hagerstown
10:00 a.m. 5k Run/Walk Start
5k Runner:
The 5k course is a 3.1 loop starting at North Potomac Street and Washington Street (City Center Square) and ending at South Potomac and Antietam Street.
If you’re a walker:
The one-mile walk course will begin at Hagerstown’s City Center Square. Walkers are asked to move to the rear of the starting field.
Not a runner or walker?
Join us in downtown Hagerstown anyway and cheer on the runners and walkers as they race to raise money in support of the Washington County Community Free Clinic’s mission and in honor of Dan McDougal, M.D.
