Author of Mule Tack, Speaking at American Legion Post 63 Concerning Changes to the Missouri State Flag
Cape Girardeau, MO (PRWEB) February 21, 2014 -- Wednesday night at American Legion. Post 63, Missouri Author Rich Flentge gave a rousing speech concerning changes to the Missouri state flag. Quoted Mr. Flentge “ The Show-me motto requires us to understand the intentions of Missouri House Representative, Jeff Roorda. The State flag was designed “right” the first time, here in this river city.” Then he asked the audience. “What does he mean by Standardization? same dimensions as original, different sizes for different version? And added;
“Advances in flag technology include brighter, more UV stable materials and printing technology ;new sets of decisions have to made to produce a flag. If he’s turning stripes lengthways and making the bears hug, were going to have a proverbial wresting match.” and warned. “Most likely, if Missourians don’t act in 2014, future politician’s will decide and the State Flag could end like the mule!”
Missouri State 1st Vice commander, Dennis Woeltje encouraged Mr. Flentge to contact other American Legions. Local Post 63 member Doc Yallay requested next time he bring a mule wagon!
