Wellington, FL (PRWEB) February 22, 2014 -- Residents of Palm Beach County and environs, take notice. There is a new restaurant, bar and dance club at the Polo West equestrian complex in Wellington. Hop Won Polo West celebrated its Grand Opening last month with great fanfare.
Every Friday night at 6:30 p.m., catch exciting, fast-paced action at the Polo West arena. If you’ve never watched a polo match, you’re in for a treat. Known as the Game of Kings, polo was first played in Asia as early as 600 BC, developed as a training exercise for Persian and Mongolian cavalry. Today, polo is an active sport in more than 60 countries worldwide.
After these high-energy matches, spectators and players alike gather at the adjacent Hop Won dinner club for food, drinks and fun. Post-game festivities in Hop Won’s Fusion Lounge feature drink specials, as well as an enticing menu. Rumor has it that one of the polo players is an accomplished guitarist who sometimes entertains the crowd after a match.
Located at 2470 Greenview Cove Dr. in Wellington, this upscale restaurant serves authentic Chinese dishes including combinations, family meals and specials. It is also known for quality steaks, sushi and Fusion cuisine that look as amazing as they taste.
This 9,000-square-foot facility with its modern Asian-influenced décor boasts two bars—the 260-seat Fusion lounge inside, and the outdoor Polo Cabana with a covered patio. Patrons enjoy domestic and imported beer and wine, as well as specialty cocktails along with frequent musical entertainment and dancing.
Hop Won Polo West is a second location for co-owners Gigi Stetler and Jimmy Rivas, whose original Hop Won Dinner Club restaurant, located in Davie, Florida, has earned a reputation for offering quality Asian cuisine amid an atmosphere of comfort and outstanding service.
“I am so thrilled,” expresses Stetler. “The Hop Won Dinner Club has been such a huge success in Davie, and I am very excited to bring it to the Wellington community. I think it will fill a unique niche and offer a wonderful new dining option for everyone in town.”
Entrepreneur Gigi Stetler is one busy lady. She is the founder and CEO of RV Sales of Broward, as well as a published author of an autobiographical book, “Unstoppable.” In addition, she is an equestrian enthusiast and has plans to coordinate a number of events at Polo West including show jumping, Dressage Under the Stars, and perhaps bull riding.
Her partner in the Hop Won restaurant enterprise, Jimmy Rivas, is a well-known, local restaurateur who brings his extensive experience to the successful operation of their two businesses. Rivas and Stetler invite everyone from the community to come and experience the delightful food and atmosphere at their newest restaurant.
"We make a great mojito and martini," says Rivas. Visit HopWon.com for more information, or call 561-791-7030 for reservations.
