Prepare for a magical weekend at the 33rd Kapalua Wine & food Festival presented by Visa Signature which will take place June 12-15th, 2014. This annual ‘migration’ of oenophiles, gourmands and enthusiasts of the good life reunite on the shores of the Kapalua resort to celebrate, learn and experience the finest culinary trends and viniculture.

Highlights of the weekend include interactive wine tasting seminars from such celebrated wine regions of Russian River Valley, Santa Lucia Highlands and the Pacific Northwest. International wines will also be well represented, and savored, from Italy and New Zealand. Celebrity Chefs Dean Fearing and Andrew Sutton are sure to wow guests with culinary samplings with many more unique and memorable tastings and experiences throughout the rest of the weekend.

Host Master Sommelier, Michael Jordan commented “This festival has a great vibe and is becoming the favorite for winemakers to attend and showcase their premium vintages and share their stories. About Kapalua Wine & Food Festival                        
The Kapalua Wine & Food Festival was established in 1981 by the not for profit Kapalua Wine Society. The Festival was created to educate and foster the appreciation of culinary exploration, fine wine and specifically Hawai’i culinary products and purveyors as well as showcase Maui’s natural beauty and promote tourism to the island. This edu-culinary event, now known as The Kapalua Wine & Food Festival, is the oldest festival of its kind in the nation and coming up on its 33rd anniversary in 2014. For the past several years, the Festival has been operated under non-profit Kapalua Maui Charities with a portion of proceeds benefitting University of Hawaii/Maui College Culinary program. The Festival’s long-standing relationships and partnerships within the industry help to bring some of the most renowned winemakers and celebrity chefs to participate. Past participants include winemakers Robert Mondavi, Bob Cabral, Mia Klein, Philippe Melka, chefs Dean Fearing, Michael Mina, Gary Danko and more. In addition, a dedicated following of attendees come from both within the state, mainland US and international countries.
