Announcement: BluesGuitar.com Releases “Blues Guitar Lesson - Learn How to Play 'Tell me what’s the Reason' by T Bone Walker”
(PRWEB) February 23, 2014 -- “The intro to this song is using a lot of Dominant 9th Chords”, says MacLennan, “BB King said in an interview that the first time he heard a Dominant 9th Chord was listening to T Bone Walker”. Jon demonstrates the riff as follows; starting off with an F#9, with his 2nd finger on the 9th fret of the 6th string, first finger on the 8th fret of the 5th string and bar 3rd finger across the 9th fret of the 4th, 3rd, 2nd and first strings. Next Jon reaches up to the 11th fret of the first string with his 4th finger and does a pull-off back to the 9th fret and repeats this little lick twice. Next he moves this chord shape down one half step and repeats the sequence and then back up one half step and again repeats the sequence. Next he moves back down one half step again and strums the chord once and then down to the 8th fret for an F7#9 chord and arpeggiates it which “sets up nice for the one chord, Db9(flat 9)”, says MacLennan. Guitar TAB’s for this blues lesson are available at BluesGuitar.Com.
