IngagePatient Succeeds in Adding 2014 Edition Meaningful Use Stage 2 Criteria
Gainesville, Florida (PRWEB) February 24, 2014 -- IngagePatient, the premier patient engagement platform, adds 5 Meaningful Use Stage 2 criteria making it the first patient engagement solution to be certified for 25 criteria required for Meaningful Use Stage 2 (MU2) modular certification.
The certification, received from Drummond Group, Inc., demonstrates that IngagePatient has the most comprehensive patient engagement platform available, providing the functionality and security necessary to support physician practices in meeting requirements for MU2. With the addition of meaningful use core objectives specific to patient engagement, IngagePatient will lead the market in providing a certified and industry leading solution that extends the point of care to where patients live, work, and play.
In September 2013, the company obtained Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC)-certified Ambulatory EHR module designation for 20 of the 2014 Edition’s criteria.
“It was important to complete the MU2 criteria specific to both provider and patient care coordination,” says Jana Jones, chief executive officer for IngagePatient. “Providing self-service tools on a website is one small step for patient engagement. Our goal has always been to provide the connectivity to coordinate and synchronize care at the right time and place by the right provider.”
IngagePatient’s certification, received from Drummond Group, Inc., is 2014 Edition compliant and has been certified by an ONC-ACB in accordance with the applicable certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. This certification does not represent an endorsement by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services or guarantee the receipt of incentive payments.
IngagePatient is certified for these additional modular EHR criteria:
170.314.a.15 Patient-Specific Education Resources
170.314.b.1 Transitions of Care Receive, Display, and Incorporate
170.314.b.2 Transitions of Care - Create and Transmit
