Techweek to Host Five Parties in its 3rd Annual Trip to SXSW
Austin, TX (PRWEB) February 25, 2014 -- Techweek, the conference dedicated to showcasing the innovation ecosystems in five cities (Chicago, Detroit, Los Angeles, Miami and New York), today announced it will host five parties during its 3rd annual trip to the SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas. The parties will host top entrepreneurs and leading tech companies from across the country for non-stop music, dancing, food and signature cocktails. The events will take place 11am on March 9 to 2am on March 10 at The Nook (309 E 6 Street).
SXSW hosts events in three different tracks including: interactive, film and music. Techweek chose to exhibit and host parties at SXSW to network with attendees and sponsors from its five anchor cities at one of the nation's largest technology events. This year, Techweek's annual SXSW trip will include five parties to preview what’s ahead for Techweek in 2014.
The parties will include:
- 11am - 2pm: New York City - "The City That Never Sleeps" (Bagels and Bloody Mary’s)
- 2pm - 5pm: Detroit - "Detroit Rock City" (Craft Beers and Coney Dogs)
- 5pm - 8pm: Los Angeles - "Tech-ila Sunrise" (Tequila Cocktails and Tacos)
- 8pm - 11pm: Chicago - "Deep Dish and Dancing” (Deep Dish Pizza and Prohibition Style Cocktails)
- 11pm - 2am: Miami - "Heat of the Night" (Cuban Sandwiches and Rum Cocktails)
Techweek had its inaugural Chicago conference in late July of 2011, garnering 2,500 attendees and over 1,250 unique brands and businesses from all over the world. The conference doubled in size in 2012 with 6,000 registered attendees and included an expo, hiring fair, a developer summit, gaming lounge, workshops, riverside parties and much more. Gaining more attention, Techweek tripled its size in 2013 with over 10,000 registered attendees and added a fashion runway show, a food truck battle and a hiring fair. Now in its fourth year, Techweek is projecting more than 15,000 attendees this June and has added events such as a music festival that will feature world-renowned musical entertainers.
