Prestonwood Christian Academy North Enrolls First Student
Prosper, TX (PRWEB) February 23, 2014 -- Prestonwood Christian Academy (PCA) North welcomes Logan Daugherty as its first student. Miss Daugherty will enter 4th Grade in the 2014-15 school year at PCA North, setting a significant milestone in the life of the new school. “We are excited to begin a new school that will provide Kingdom education to children in Prosper, Celina, North Frisco, McKinney, Little Elm and other communities in the U.S. Highway 380 corridor,” says Prestonwood Christian Academy Head of School, Dr. Larry Taylor. “Mike and Tamara Daugherty are strong supporters of Kingdom education. Having their 9-year old daughter, Logan, as our first student makes this historic moment very special,” Dr. Taylor continues.
The Daughertys agree, “We are so excited to be a part of PCA, and thrilled they are bringing quality Kingdom education to Prosper. We have seen first-hand the high quality education PCA brought to Plano, and we are confident that same level of excellence will be here at PCA North as well.”
Prestonwood Christian Academy North is an expansion of Prestonwood Christian Academy in Plano, Texas. The Christian education program at Prestonwood Christian Academy, Kingdom education, is one of the strongest in the country, providing intentional biblical worldview training and integration. PCA North classes will be taught in the recently completed classroom addition of the North Campus of Prestonwood Baptist Church located at the intersection of Dallas Parkway and Prosper Trail. The new school will offer classes for Pre-Kindergarten 3 through 4th Grade in the 2014-15 school year, with plans to add a grade each school year.
The inaugural principal for the school is Donna Leadford, an established educator with 30 years of experience and a passion for Kingdom education. Mrs. Leadford obtained a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Texas A&M – Commerce, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from East Texas Baptist University.
