EA Health Achieves EHNAC Healthcare Network Accreditation
San Diego, CA (PRWEB) February 23, 2014 -- EA Health, a privately owned corporation with headquarters in Solana Beach specializing in on-call compensation, revenue cycle services, professional coding, and telemedicine services, announced today it has achieved full accreditation with the Healthcare Network Accreditation Program (HNAP) for Medical Biller from the Electronic Healthcare Network Accreditation Commission (EHNAC). EHNAC’s HNAP accreditation recognizes excellence in health data processing and transactions, and ensures compliance with industry-established standards and HIPAA regulations.

In addition, EHNAC reviewed the organization’s process of managing and transferring protected health information and determined that the organization meets or exceeds all EHNAC criteria and industry standards. Through completion of the rigorous accreditation process, the organization demonstrates to its constituents, adherence to strict standards and participation in the comprehensive, objective evaluation of its business.
“Receiving the HNAP Medical Biller accreditation from EHNAC validates and confirms the position of trust we hold with our strategic partners, client hospitals and medical groups, providers, and ultimately patients.” said EA Health CEO Arthur Gruen, MD. “The accreditation is a testament to our compliance program, operational discipline, and transactional integrity that are required to perform optimally in today’s integrated healthcare environment.”
“At a time of heightened regulatory concerns, it is responsible healthcare organizations such as EA Health that we applaud for taking the extra steps to ensure trust with all their stakeholders and customers that they’re adhering to the latest standards in privacy, security and confidentiality,” said Lee Barrett, executive director of EHNAC. “In order to earn EHNAC HNAP accreditation, organizations are required to demonstrate excellence and a commitment to ensuring the security and privacy of health data processing and transactions for their customers.”
