Principled Technologies (PT) Unveils Two New Mobile Device Assessment Tools at Mobile World Congress
Durham, NC (PRWEB) February 24, 2014 -- Bill Catchings, Co-Founder of Principled Technologies, will introduce the new community previews for TouchXPRT 2014 and BatteryXPRT 2014 for Android at Mobile World Congress February 24-27 in Barcelona. He will also hand out to mobile device vendors golden tickets for free device testing and complimentary entry to the BenchmarkXPRT Development Community.
TouchXPRT 2014 is a free tool for evaluating the capabilities of Windows 8, Windows 8.1, and Windows RT devices. It improves on TouchXPRT 2013, using new data types, new types of work, and more demanding and visual tests to better reflect the way people use mobile devices today.
BatteryXPRT 2014 for Android can estimate the battery life of an Android mobile device with less than six hours of testing. It can run in Airplane mode or connected to a network, so users can test their devices’ battery lives either way. It also works as a rundown test. BatteryXPRT 2014 for Android is also the first of the XPRT tools, or XPRTs, to use an exciting new UI design. Over the next year, all of the XPRTs will upgrade to similar interfaces.
Those lucky Mobile World Congress attendees who receive a golden ticket can use it to send their devices to PT for free testing and to join the BenchmarkXPRT development community at no cost. (While community membership is open to everyone, a nominal $20 membership fee is normally required.) As community members, they will be able to access and give feedback on the community previews of both TouchXPRT 2014 and BatteryXPRT 2014 for Android.
