Rivr allows enterprise developers to easily create VoiceXML applications with an OO approach, using the Java tools they learned to know and love. Rivr not only allows them to efficiently leverage their existing development workflow, including code coverage, unit tests, continuous build server, and war deployment, but they can also leverage any JVM language, including Java, Scala, Groovy, JPython, JRuby, or Clojure.
Rivr, Nu Echo’s fourth generation VoiceXML application framework, is the result of a quest to find an efficient, robust, and intuitive approach to VoiceXML applications development. Since the introduction of Rivr in August 2013, the Nu Echo team put a lot of effort to polish the API, fix stability issues, support more VoiceXML platforms, and provide developers with comprehensive documentation. In particular, a complete cookbook, with examples covering most application development use cases is now available and will continue to grow in the upcoming months.
Rivr supports all VoiceXML primitives including DTMF, speech recognition, TTS, recordings, subdialogs, objects, scripts, and transfers, while being compatible with standards-compliant platforms, including Genesys, Cisco, Avaya, and Voxeo.
