NewBridge Housing, a New Jersey-based nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting clients via counseling, education, and housing, was looking for software to manage their array of affordable housing communities. After considering several options, NewBridge was impressed with the functionality of Bostonpost Property Manager as well as its intuitive user interface and ease-of-use. Additionally, they recognized the value in the inclusion of MRI’s award-winning support services, and thus decided to partner with MRI Software.

“We are a small, but growing property owner in the supportive housing world. Bostonpost’s pricing and features seemed great,” explained Melissa Natoli, Housing Specialist at NewBridge Service, Inc. “Just to be sure, we went to IREM and found that MRI has a history of working with the affordable housing property management world and we feel comfortable that as we grow, this software is going to keep us efficient and on point.”

Built from the ground-up to manage affordable housing and even conventional multifamily properties, MRI Bostonpost Property Manager focuses on the management of the affordable housing market, handling compliance for any combination of affordable housing funding programs, including USDA, HUD, HOME, and Public Housing. Additionally, Bostonpost is a web-based software application, allowing users to access the system from anywhere with a viable internet connection. Moreover, the software features intelligent waitlist and turnover processing that only pre-selects applicants that are eligible for the unit in question, as well as integrated accounting for subsidy accounting and rent adjustments.

“We are thrilled to work with an organization that strives to make a positive impact on the world around them,” said Ron Kolz, CSO at MRI Software. “We’re pleased to be able to implement Bostonpost for NewBridge to meet their specific business needs and help them to continue helping those in need.”
