Both David and Jason will serve as part of our newly restructured and strengthened management team, adding specific talent and experience in their respective areas.

OTO Development, a South Carolina-based developer, owner and operator of hotels, announces two executive appointments. David Ward has been promoted to vice president of operations and Jason Lillge has been promoted to area director of operations. Both are newly created roles for the company.

Ward joined OTO Development on January 1, 2005 as one of the first team members hired by company founders. Prior to joining OTO, David Ward served as vice president operations for Extended Stay America Hotels, where he had operational responsibility for 225 hotels as well as opening 130 hotels in 30 states. Before that Ward was vice president operations for Red Roof Inns.

As OTO's first Regional Director of Operations, Mr. Ward has focused his considerable expertise on the company's west coast locations, but has opened or provided regional leadership for many other hotels in the portfolio.

“I am very pleased to announce David’s promotion within the company,” said John Anderson, chief operating officer for OTO Development, said. “Of the sixty-nine hotels developed by OTO Development to date, David is or has been directly involved with thirty-seven of them in some stage of their development. He has had a significant impact on our company’s success.”

In addition to his responsibility with the West Coast region, Mr. Ward will assume a leadership role in managing the emerging relationships with key ownership groups as OTO continues to develop the company's third party management capabilities.

Jason Lillge joined OTO in 2007 as a hotel general manager. In 2008, Mr. Lillge was honored with the “Service Champion” award at the company’s annual conference. Most recently, he has served as Field Operation Director traveling across the portfolio of hotels to provide leadership support during general manager vacancies. In his new role, Lillge will open the Hilton Garden Inn Palo Alto, California, while providing leadership to an area of hotels in northern California and Washington state.

“OTO Development has experienced exponential growth since its inception in 2004,” said Mr. Anderson. “Both David and Jason will serve as part of our newly restructured and strengthened management team, adding specific talent and experience in their respective areas. This team is well poised to initiate and support our strategic and ambitious growth plans.”
