In a time of increased budget pressure, quality can assist agencies in increasing efficiencies while increasing performance.

ASQ, the leading authority on quality in all fields, organizations and industries, will help government organizations improve operating efficiencies through an agreement with the General Services Administration.
The GSA’s Performance Management and Continuous Process Improvement agreement was awarded to ABS Consulting, which selected ASQ — among other providers — to help government agencies maximize operation effectiveness despite the uncertain budgetary climate.
The services available to government agencies include process and performance improvement; quality training, services and recognition; communications and change management, and more.
The initiative will help streamline the federal government by enabling agencies to develop process and procedures. It will establish mechanisms to increase savings, value and socio-economic participation, as well as identify gaps in agency strategies, goals and initiatives that will allow time for corrective action.
“We look forward to the opportunity to help make continuous improvement a priority within the federal government,” said ASQ CEO Paul Borwaski. “In a time of increased budget pressure, quality can assist agencies in increasing efficiencies while increasing performance.”
