Achieving and maintaining high data quality is a demanding and difficult job. This webinar is designed to inform ODTUG members and the Oracle community at large about the steps necessary to ensure data quality, particularly at a time when the job – and the need – is becoming ever more challenging.
The Webinar panel includes Joe Caserta, president of Caserta Concepts (http://www.casertaconcepts.com). Joe is a thought leader in the fields of Big Data Analytics and Data Warehouse design, and frequent speaker at industry conferences and events. Joe will be joined by Cameron Lackpour of CLSolve. Cameron is an Oracle EPM consultant and an Oracle ACE Director. His blog can be found at http://camerons-blog-for-essbase-hackers.blogspot.com. Rounding out the panel is Ron Moore, president of Marketing Technologies Group (http://www.mtgny.com). Ron is an experienced Essbase architect and Oracle trainer.
The three will address questions to include:
- Is Data Quality really a problem?
- Who, in an organization, has the responsibility for data quality?
- What techniques can be applied at the data source?
- What techniques can be applied within Essbase and Planning?
- Are there “simple, stupid rules” for Data Quality?
- What is the role of documentation – and exactly what documentation is effective and worth the effort to produce?
“Data quality and governance is a timely subject with broad appeal.
