Veteran Financial Expert William R. Rhodes to Speak at Johns Hopkins University’s Carey Business School
Baltimore, MD (PRWEB) February 25, 2014 -- Internationally recognized financial expert William R. Rhodes is the scheduled speaker for the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School’s H. Melvin Brown Lecture at 5 p.m., Thursday, February 27, at the school’s Baltimore campus.
Rhodes is president and chief executive officer of William R. Rhodes Global Advisors and a professor-at-large at Brown University. He serves as a Citi senior advisor after a career of more than 53 years with the financial services institution.
He gained a reputation for international financial diplomacy in the 1980s and 1990s as a result of his helping to manage debt crises involving developing nations and their creditors. He has since served as an advisor to governments, financial officials, and corporations, and he holds several board and advisory positions, including senior advisor to the World Economic Forum; vice chairman of the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations; member of the International Policy Committee of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and first vice chairman emeritus of the Institute of International Finance.
Rhodes also is the author of Banker to the World: Leadership Lessons from the Front Lines of Global Finance (McGraw-Hill, 2011).
