Experiencing Bladder Leakage? Your Pace Yoga Releases DVD for Urinary Incontinence
Boston, MA (PRWEB) February 27, 2014 -- Announcing release of the new yoga DVD entitled “Your Pace Yoga: Optimizing Bladder Control”. The creator, Dustienne Miller, is a Kripalu Yoga teacher, physical therapist, and board certified women’s health clinical specialist. In this video she invites the user to coordinate the breath with specific yoga postures to help strengthen the muscles that control bladder function and promote awareness of the pelvic floor. This user-friendly, stress-relieving home practice serves as a holistic adjunct to pelvic floor physical therapy and traditional medical approaches.
This specifically designed yoga home program contains three express flows. The Gravity Eliminated Flow (practiced lying on your back) is designed to encourage pelvic floor activation and coordination in a position that puts the least amount of load on the pelvic floor. The Standing Flow adds the additional challenge of balance and increased muscle activation. The last program, Calming Flow, is recommended for urge incontinence. The Seated Awareness track provides the user with an overview of anatomy and coordination. Bladder control tips and a comprehensive overview of incontinence are highlighted on the bonus tracks.
In a study presented by Huang et al. at the 34th Annual Scientific Meeting of the American Urogynecological Society (paper 59), results showed over a 50% decrease in urinary incontinence episodes with yoga intervention (p=0.05).
The DVD “Your Pace Yoga: Optimizing Bladder Control” can be ordered on http://www.yourpaceyoga.com.
