Beaverton, Ore. (PRWEB) February 25, 2014
The InfiniBand® Trade Association (IBTA), a global organization dedicated to maintaining and furthering the InfiniBand™ specification, today announced the availability of its October 2013 Combined Cable and Device Integrators' List. The updated Integrators’ List is a compilation of all products that passed the InfiniBand compliance and interoperability requirements at the IBTA Plugfest 24 event in October 2013.
During Plugfest 24, the IBTA verified the compliance and interoperability of a variety of Host Channel Adapter (HCA) cards, switches, storage targets, gateways, and cables at speeds up to Fourteen Data Rate (FDR) 56Gb/s InfiniBand. In addition to these tests, there was continued beta compliance testing for cables supporting the Enhanced Data Rate (EDR) 100Gb/s InfiniBand standard. IBTA members Anritsu and Tektronix contributed an Active Time Domain (ATD) test suite for testing Active EDR cables and members Agilent Technologies and Mellanox Technologies worked together to contribute an automated testing methodology for FDR devices. These test methodologies have been made public and can be found on the IBTA website.
“IBTA’s bi-annual Plugfest interoperability and compliance testing events are continually important for vendors and end-users as InfiniBand and RDMA technology evolves in terms of higher speed and performance,” said Rupert Dance, co-chair of the IBTA Compliance and Interoperability Working Group (CIWG). “We work with our partners and members to advance testing methods and specifications in order to ensure devices are compliant and interoperable with the latest InfiniBand specifications.”
Updated every spring and fall following the bi-annual Plugfest, the IBTA Integrators’ List is a compilation of all products that have been tested and accepted by the IBTA as being compliant with the InfiniBand™ architecture specification. The list highlights the methodical testing and qualifying of various InfiniBand adapters, switches, storage targets and cables and is designed to support IT professionals, including data center managers and CIOs, with their planned deployment of InfiniBand solutions. End-users and OEMs reference the list prior to the deployment of InfiniBand-related systems, including both small-scale and large-scale clusters of 10,000 nodes or more. The Integrators’ List was started in 2003 and currently contains hundreds of InfiniBand-compliant products.
Vendors that contributed test equipment to the IBTA Plugfest 24 include Agilent Technologies, Anritsu, Molex, Tektronix and Wilder Technologies.
The IBTA’s next Plugfest event will take place March 31 – April 11, 2014 at the University of New Hampshire Interoperability Lab in Durham, New Hampshire. For more information, or to register for Plugfest 25, please visit the
