OTRS Service Management Software Downloads in China Double - OTRS Group breaks into the Asian Market

OTRS Group, the provider of Managed Services for the open source helpdesk software OTRS, announced today that the downloads of its software in China doubled in 2013 due to an increased demand for a service management software free of licensing costs and to several successful, public OTRS trainings held in that region.

As we record an increased demand for an open source helpdesk software like OTRS in China, we also see higher download numbers and we’ve noticed a huge demand for professional services and cloud-based products for the software.

OTRS Group, the world's leading provider of cloud-based solutions for the open source Service Management software, recorded a doubling of downloads for its OTRS Help Desk software in China in 2013. In all previous years, 4 percent of the worldwide software downloads came from China. This number increased to 8 percent in 2013 making China the 3rd highest country in the OTRS Top Ten Download countries, after Germany and the USA, moving Russia to 4th place. Along with two new major software releases in February and November, offering features like business process management, improved reporting, and greater clarity with retina displays, well attended public OTRS Administrator Trainings in Hong Kong and Malaysia showed an increased demand for the OTRS service management software. Due to this success, the next public training will take place in Saigon, Vietnam March 17-21, 2014.
