The Chef and I Creates a Tasteful Spin On Corporate Team-Building
Nashville, TN (PRWEB) February 26, 2014 -- The Chef and I, Nashville’s interactive culinary company and fusion restaurant, has created a series of fun and competitive taste challenges to fit the area’s need for more innovative team-building events.
Owner, Erica Rains, discovered the need after having conversations with C-level executives from The Chef and I’s catering division.
“Any company that is dedicated to fostering healthy employee relations and empowering their teams would benefit from the culinary team-building that we offer,” says Rains.
The Chef and I offers several types of culinary team-building challenges to support communication, organization, conflict management, leadership and problem solving. These include The Taste Bud Challenge, The Mystery Box Challenge and The Guess Your Dinner Challenge. They are also able to modify challenges for clients to meet their specific team’s needs in order to enhance their objectives for the team-building experience.
“A typical Taste Bud Challenge calls upon participants to focus on just one sense - taste,” says Rains. “Guests are blindfolded and chefs feed them ingredients to guess. It helps to break down walls and instills a feeling of camaraderie between team-mates.”
Additional challenges involve cook-offs, developing recipes, and additional hand-on competitions that initiate competitive spirit and promote teamwork. And, of course, the competitors are urged to eat the various creations that come from these challenges.
The Chef and I has conducted team-building culinary challenges for local business and corporations of all sizes, and has already started to book into 2015. With an increase in companies choosing Nashville for their business-related conferences and retreats, Rains expects this unique area of the business to continue to grow. She plans to launch a national referral network to support this growth, as well as a focus to the local market.
“Food is hot right now,” says Rains. “People often bond over their love of food and cooking.”
