New Astonish VPC Utilities Tools: Focal Point of Q1 System Release

The Astonish platform, designed specifically to drive agency growth through technology, has added a new “Utilities Menu”. This new feature of the company’s Virtual Profit Center (VPC) allows insurance agents to better manage and categorize their clients, which ultimately helps them improve their book of business.
The problem, as solved by the technology team at Astonish, was that customers in an insurance agency’s database were not being properly identified. In some cases, current customers may have been labeled as prospects, and in others, prospects were labeled as customers even if they did not have active policies.
The Astonish VPC now enables insurance agencies to employ utilities menus for inactive clients and prospects with active clients.
“There are very few tools in the industry that allow customers to do this,” explains Jon Wellington, Program Manager at Astonish. “Most of the industry does not auto-update their data. The Utilities Tool gives customers a value-added ability to manage and move around their contacts into appropriate categories,” says Wellington.
The creation of this option allows for the local insurance agent to have information about their clients and prospects more accessible. At the end of the day, the job of the agent becomes easier when the focus can be on whether or not rounding-out a policy or converting a new opportunity is necessary.
Additional updates for Q1 system release include:
• Reporting: An update to how retention is calculated in Policy Report
• Retention is simply renewals plus Rewrites and no longer subtracts lost business
• Reporting: Enhanced requirements for “Marketable Leads” definition in the Productivity Report
• Reporting: Policy Report definitions for New Business
• Astonish University: A course has been added for Lead Assignment Engine Training
• Administration: Agency option features have been enabled for company administrators
• Previously, only Astonish administrators could utilize these features. This provides increased control for the agency.
On a grand scale, the Astonish VPC assists the local insurance agency’s ability to manage opportunities and current clients. This system update further enhances that ability with an increased focus on who current customers are, who non-customers are and appropriate categorization for all customers. This allows for a more efficient way to sell policies, automate tasks, and market more effectively. At the end of the day, the same number of employees can handle a greater volume of premium when policies are managed more effectively, and the VPC drives that ability.
