There will be a panel discussion on the first day on “Risk Assessment Challenges” where senior security experts from Lukoil, Qatar Petroleum, Transocean, and Danagas will share their thoughts on pressing risk assessment issues. Achieving a balance between security and economics in high risk regions, and best practices for predictive security risk assessment will be discussed in depth during this session.
The Security Team leader from Chevron Shipping will be presenting on the pragmatic approach to longer term threats of piracy in the HOA; the Middle East Regional Security Director from Baker Hughes will share his experience on evacuations in Iraq; and the Regional Security Advisor from Maersk Oil will shed light on implied security during the Syrian conflict.
Other key topics to be addressed at the meeting include duty of care for mobile staff during operations, security for offshore installations, preparing a counter-terrorism threat response plan, and security assessment and planning for green and brown field projects.
