Crown Reef Resort Completing One of Myrtle Beach’s Largest Resort Renovations in Years; Many New Amenities Await Guests for Spring and Summer Vacations
Myrtle Beach, SC (PRWEB) March 11, 2014 -- As one of Myrtle Beach’s largest resort renovations in the last five years, Crown Reef Resort is entirely remodeling all its 500 plus rooms and adding several new amenities unique to the Grand Strand.
Recently purchased by Legacy Business Solutions ownership group and joining the Vacation Myrtle Beach resort family, the 20-year-old, all-oceanfront resort is undergoing a $7 million renovation that began in late fall. All the new rooms are scheduled for completion by April 2014 in time for the spring and summer tourist season with one tower already available for stays.
“Crown Reef Resort is one of the most popular resorts in Myrtle Beach, and Legacy Business Solutions is excited to take this iconic property on the south end to new heights,” says Matt Klugman, director of sales and marketing for the resort. “We recognize the resort’s vast potential and we are working around the clock to make it the best resort in Myrtle Beach with nearly ‘all-inclusive’ options.”
All 514 of Crown Reef’s accommodations, which include rooms, efficiencies and suites, are being updated with new headboards, tables, lamps, bedding, balcony and hallway carpeting, bathroom mirrors, new wall finish and paint. The kitchens in both suites and efficiencies will have new appliances, granite countertops and dark wood cabinets. Every unit also has an oceanfront balcony, a flat screen TV and all of the comforts of home.
A new Town Center, also scheduled for completion in April, offers dining and entertainment with the Atlantic Ocean as a backdrop. It will include a casual restaurant, coffee bar, ice cream and sweets shop, and video game arcade and redemption center.
The newly reimagined Crown Reef will also feature a brand new water park with two enclosed 40-foot water slides, the largest of any resort along the Grand Strand. The area where the slides finish will be enclosed during cooler months and open during the warm seasons. One slide will be a one-person body slide, while the other will be an “explosion” slide for two people, the first of its kind in South Carolina.
The water slides, along with a silly sub play area with water sprays, bucket dumps, etc., are scheduled to open later this spring along with a new pool bar and grill. The resort currently offers a 125-foot oceanfront pool, two indoor pools, three kid-size pools, 11 indoor and outdoor Jacuzzis, and a 575-foot lazy river, the longest in Myrtle Beach.
The resort also has a fitness center and 13,000 square feet of space for meetings, banquets, weddings and events for groups from 25 to 1,200.
