Washington, D.C (PRWEB) February 27, 2014
M&L Special Needs Planning, LLC is a company that provides financial and life planning services to individuals and families with special needs in the Washington, D.C. area. Over the last year or so, M&L has expanded their focus to concentrate on housing programs and options for individuals with disabilities – in fact, in November of 2013, the company released a one-of-a-kind housing information resource, the Independent Living Program and Housing Project database. On March 1st, M&L will release the latest updates on special needs housing including the third video in a series of informational videos on the housing database, accessible only to subscribers, titled the Special Needs Planning Process.
The Independent Living Program and Housing database contains more than 800 entries of independent living programs and housing options, service providers, and special needs organizations from across the United States. It also contains other very important housing information, i.e. journal articles, news articles, studies, and important financial information that is incredibly relevant to the special needs housing search.
In addition to those incredibly important resources, M&L is using the database as a platform for monthly releases of special needs planning information videos. These videos are intended to educate subscribers as to the various steps of special needs financial and life planning. The videos will be released monthly, and cover topics such as Insurance Needs Analysis, Transitioning, and the Special Needs Trust, among others. The March 1st release will discuss the process for Special Needs Planning.
In the Special Needs Planning Process, M&L founder and owner Maedi Tanham Carney, CFP®, CWIC simplifies the special needs planning process. Carney discusses the nature of planning for special needs, and the difference between lifetime care and quality of care. Carney also delves into the four basic planning areas that are required to ensure lifetime and quality of care for your loved one with special needs, and offers tips as to how to ensure that planning is done for two generations. For more information, or to watch the video in full, please visit http://www.specialneedsplanning.net to subscribe to the database.
M&L feels that it is important for subscribers and potential subscribers to know that this database is consistently updated to reflect new and changing housing programs, and to ensure that the special needs housing information is relevant and current. This feature was incorporated into the design of the website to ensure that parents can rely on the information they receive in the database. Subscribers to the database will be notified when these videos, and any other new information, is uploaded to the database.
