Model N Presents at 2nd Annual Medicaid Rebate Summit
Washington D.C., (PRWEB) February 26, 2014 -- Model N, Inc. (NYSE: MODN), the leading revenue management solutions provider to the life science and technology industries, will present today at The Conference Forum’s 2nd Annual Medicaid Rebate Summit, currently running at the Park Hyatt in Washington DC. This week’s conference is a strategic-level forum for manufacturers contracting with the Medicaid Drug Rebate Program (MDRP), 340B, Medicare Part D, and states. The conference will cover the most up-to-date information available to help practitioners with the responsibilities of administering and managing the Medicaid Drug Rebate Program (MDRP) and other related programs.
Model N Director of Product Management, Scott Medberry, will present today at noon in the session “Mapping out an AMP Final Rule Compliance Game Plan”. Medberry’s presentation will focus on how current information from the proposed rule can be mapped to current processes and systems, plus evaluation of business-specific factors such as data availability for US Territories, specific concerns around Pediatric drugs, RCP/nonRCP boundary products, and other concerns. Using this mapping, once the final rule is published, attendees of this session will learn how to prioritize a game plan to be implemented within the short timeline for compliance.
Later in the afternoon, Model N experts, Medberry, Jesse Mendelsohn, director of global customer services and support, and Kris McGraw, solutions principal will participate in one of the conference’s roundtable consultation sessions titled “Beyond Systems: The right people. The right processes. The right procedure”. Participants in this session will discuss the policy, staffing, and data requirements of a well formed government pricing (GP) organization. Additionally, Model N experts will share stories from the industry regarding both successful and challenged organizations and their associated benefits and risks. Attendees will learn of the “ideal” state that all GP organizations should strive towards.
“Changing regulatory requirements will have a significant impact on manufacturers, from the way they shape their infrastructure, prepare for increased compliance requirements, as well as their ability to evolve existing wholesalers’ relationships to secure data requirements,” said Chris Larsen, senior vice president and chief sales officer at Model N. “Model N’s expert sessions will provide practical suggestions for how manufacturers can create new capabilities in their workflow design through the adoption of technology solutions, like Model N, to enable teams to minimize any undesirable regulatory impact.”
Model N is an Executive Sponsor of the 2nd Annual Medicaid Rebate Summit. Model N will be hosting a networking dinner tonight for conference attendees at Ris, 2275 L Street NW Washington, D.C. 20037 beginning at 7PM EST.
