As cheerleading teams across the country prepare to compete in the Nfinity Champions League Cheerleading Event, a production team of the best in sports entertainment is hard at work capturing the story behind this groundbreaking event that will show in cinemas across the U.S. on April 10th.
This production team, led by Mark Ellis, Steve Andrich and Jim Jorden, boasts over 75 years of award winning experience in bringing sports stories to life in documentaries and feature films. They come together to create the film which will feature the Nfinity Champions League event and also document the athleticism behind cheerleading as a sport and the fast paced hard work, determination and dedication the teams put into preparing for the event.
Mark Ellis, Director
For 20 years, Mark Ellis has been a leader in scripted sports action for Hollywood productions. He has directed Oscar winning actors and Hall of Fame athletes in over 40 movies grossing more than one billion dollars at the box office. Mark has also collaborated on multiple TV projects and commercial development. He has been a critical component in films honored with nine ESPY nominations for ”Best Sports Movie of the Year” including three award wining films for The Rookie, Miracle and Semi-Pro.
Jim Jorden, Producer
Jim Jorden has over 20 years of experience in producing and directing sports television shows, feature films and commercials. Jim started as a producer for NFL Films in 1989 and eventually worked his way up to vice president, launching “Hard Knocks” series on HBO and coordinating programming for NFL Network. He went on to NASCAR and channeled the energy of racing into branded content to produce captivating live and non-scripted programming from the largest production facility in the Southeastern United States, ranging from Emmy Award-winning television shows, commercials and feature length films to short-form video used on the Web and mobile applications.
Steve Andrich, Director of Photography
For almost ten years, Steve Andrich served as vice president of cinematography for NFL FILMS, expanding the studio’s legacy as legendary cinema verite documentarians, while bringing the studio’s 70 cinematographers into a new era of filmmaking.
