Rochester, New York (PRWEB) February 28, 2014 -- JAG Construction, based in Rochester and founded in 1978 by Michael Jagodzinski, is this year’s recipient of the SPFA National Industry Excellence Award in the “Residential Wall Foam” category. Presentation of the award is based on JAG Construction’s work on Frank Lloyd Wright’s Edward E. Boynton House renovation project.
During the 2-year renovation on the historic house, JAG Construction’s Insulation Division confronted numerous issues, including thin, 2 x 4 wall cavities, low R-value insulation and ice damming. The methods used by JAG Insulation were the result of several years of research and development; the company’s success on this project verified the research and JAG’s solutions.
In its 36+ years in business, JAG Construction has become a leading insulation specialist in the region, with a focus on spray foam use and application and an expertise in ice damming—what causes it, how to identify and avoid it, and how to resolve it.
President Mike Jagodzinski has also dedicated himself to educating homeowners, and contractors about different insulation needs and choices. “Current building science proves that R-value is not the only issue. There are multiple mechanisms of heat loss and gain. Research has shown that spray foam products not only control the temperature but also the humidity and airflow, resulting in better control of your indoor environment.”
Michael Jagodzinski will be presenting his award-winning research at the upcoming Better Contractors Bureau (BCB) Home Fair Expo at the Dome Center and Minette Hall in Henrietta on Saturday, March 1, at 4:00 PM.
