The Small Business Book Awards celebrate the best business books that appeal to entrepreneurs, small business owners, CEOs, managers and their staffs. The Awards also recognize key resources supporting business book authors and the publishing industry.
Being chosen as a Judge for the Small Business Book Awards is a distinct honor.
"It's an honor to be on a panel of such well-respected small business professionals," said Payton, "I look forward to reviewing the book entries for the Awards."
"We're thrilled to host a panel of Judges for the first time. The Small Business Book Awards are a judged competition, based on excellence. We will rely on our panel to determine the books most noteworthy from 2013," noted Anita Campbell, CEO of Small Business Trends and Founder of the Awards.
The Judges will have significant responsibilities and are making a commitment of their time to support authors and the industry around entrepreneurial books. The Judges will select winners based on a set of criteria that includes usefulness, freshness and quality of content.
"We chose the Judges' Panel from a pool of small business enthusiasts. We aimed to find a mix of skills so that the Judges can accurately make a decision on the finalists at the end of the Awards," said Ivana Taylor, Book Editor at Small Business Trends, which produces the Awards.
About the Small Business Book Awards

More than just an honor, the Awards are a unique social online event that enables the small business community to nominate, show their support for, and vote on their favorite business books. The Awards combine recognition for a job well done, honors and prestige -- along with providing a high-profile opportunity for authors to engage with fans, network through social media, and increase publicity. The Small Business Book Awards are produced by Small Business Trends, an award-winning online publication, which along with its sister sites, serves over 6,000,000 small business owners, stakeholders and entrepreneurs annually. Small Business Trends for the past six years has published weekend reviews of small business books, amassing nearly 500 independent reviews.
