The San Francisco International Women’s Film Festival (SFIWFF) will extend short programs to experimental, documentary, narrative, animation and new media. SFIWFF 2014 will showcase shorts over 2 days, celebrate innovative women in film and new media. Be it quirky or provocative, there’s one for every mood and everybody in the program!

FRIDAY, MARCH 7, 6:00 PM: SFIWFF 2014 opens on March 7th with a compelling lineup of short films crafted by local San Francisco Bay Area female filmmakers. The film screening is in collaboration with First Friday Shorts, a free monthly screening of short films from local media arts community organizations held at The New Parkway Theater on First Fridays to highlight the diversity of perspectives and voices in the Bay Area. SATURDAY, MARCH 29th, 1:00 PM: SFIWFF 2014 will host an awards reception celebrating the achievements of SF Bay Area Women in Film, Television and the Media. Honorees include: Jan Wahl (San Francisco's favorite movie reviewer and film historian), Tiffany Shlain (Honored by Newsweek as one of the “Women Shaping the 21st Century), Sally Jo Fifer (Independent Television Service President and CEO) and more guests to be announced! SATURDAY, MARCH 29th, 2:00 PM: Following the reception SFIWFF Global Panorama Shorts Program will screen. Go around the world in one sitting with a selection of this year’s best indie shorts by women from Malaysia, Australia, France, United Kingdom, and the US.
