LOS ANGELES (PRWEB) February 26, 2014 -- The Los Angeles office of the international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP has elevated Jason R. Lindsay and Lisa C. McCurdy to shareholder and Lori Chang to of counsel in the Litigation Practice. Overall, the firm elevated 33 attorneys to shareholder and 11 to of counsel positions. Jason R. Lindsay focuses his practice on financial services industry litigation and regulatory matters. Mr. Lindsay has represented broker-dealers and their management and employees in investigations and disciplinary proceedings initiated by the SEC, FINRA, and NYSE. In addition, Mr. Lindsay has represented brokerage firms and their management in customer-initiated cases and arbitration proceedings. Mr. Lindsay regularly handles matters involving claims for breach of fiduciary duty, elder abuse, negligence, fraud, undue influence and violation of federal and state laws and industry regulations. Mr. Lindsay received his J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law and his B.A. from Northwestern University.
Lisa C. McCurdy’s practice focuses on trust and probate litigation, complex business litigation, real estate and financing litigation, commercial lease litigation, and consumer protection claims. She has wide-ranging experience in both federal and state court, as well as in administrative proceedings and regulatory investigations, including matters pursued by the U.S. and California Departments of Justice, the Federal Trade Commission, the California Public Utilities Commission, the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health, the California Secretary of State, and others. Lisa also practices in the area of animal protection law, regularly litigating cases on behalf of animal protection groups and individuals, and working on improving legislation and educating the community in an effort to improve the treatment of animals. She received her J.D. from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles and her B.A. from the University of California at Los Angeles.
Lori Chang represents clients in a variety of business and commercial disputes, with emphasis on matters relating to complex intellectual property and Internet litigation, including copyright, trademark, privacy and Internet law-related issues. Her practice also involves counseling on data security and privacy matters, and matters pertaining to the Stored Communications Act. Ms. Chang received her J.D. from the University of Southern California Law School and her B.A. from the University of California at Los Angeles.
