Las Vegas, Nevada (PRWEB) February 28, 2014
Andre Boyer, a 71-year old resident of Quebec, Canada, seeks to break the world record for a complete flight while blindfolded. While the date and place have not yet been officially set due to ongoing negotiations with potential sponsors, two high-profile locations are being considered where the event can be held in the near future, Las Vegas or Dubai.
Andre Boyer’s ultimate goal is to take off, fly his trademarked Feather Powered Parachute (PPC) to a height of at least 500 feet and land, all while being blindfolded. According to Boyer, by succeeding in his challenge, he will demonstrate his skills and courage, as well as supply others with the confidence of pursuing their own goals, even at such an advanced age as himself.
Boyer is undaunted. He is sure that this pursuit will help to boost aviation. It's a fact of life that the public no longer keeps up with the exploits of famed aviators the way people once followed, for example, Charles Lindbergh and Amelia Earhart. Therefore, by tackling this dangerous challenge, he can rekindle some of that romance and sense of adventure.
In many ways, Andre Boyer seems very similar to the iconic character from a popular beer commercial, referred to as “The Most Interesting Man In The World”. They look and talk very much alike, and both have a penchant for adventure and excitement. After Boyer announced his plans to perform his blindfolded flight, friends and family began to call him “The Most Amazing Man In The World”.
Boyer is inviting people across the world to get involved in this event by visiting his website at TheFlyingChallenge.com where they can use their facebook account to vote on whether they believe he can successfully complete the challenge and get his name in the Guinness Book of World Records.
