Silver&Fit Named 2014 National Sponsor for National Senior Health & Fitness Day
San Diego, CA (PRWEB) February 27, 2014 -- The Silver&Fit® Exercise & Healthy Aging Program will serve as a 2014 National Sponsor for National Senior Health & Fitness Day®, slated for Wednesday, May 28.
Celebrating its 21st year, National Senior Health & Fitness Day is the nation’s largest annual health promotion event for older adults. The goal for the event is to help raise awareness about the importance of fitness for older adults, and to highlight what local organizations are doing to help improve the health and fitness of older adults in their communities. Each year, the event encourages more than 100,000 seniors to participate at health and fitness events held at more than 1,000 locations nationally.
2014 will mark the second year that Silver&Fit has served as a National Sponsor for the event. Silver&Fit is an award-winning provider of evidence-based fitness and health education activities for Medicare beneficiaries and group retirees. Silver&Fit offers no-cost and low-cost fitness facility memberships and other fitness opportunities to members who want to improve their quality of life through exercise.
