Fort Worth, TX (PRWEB) March 24, 2014
“These award-winning businesses represent the very best of thousands of Fort Worth innovators and risk-takers who have started their own enterprises, overcome obstacles and charted new territory,” said Bill Thornton, president and CEO of the Fort Worth Chamber. “Their success stories illustrate why Fort Worth is growing and attracting major employers, entrepreneurs and talent from all over the world.”
The awards were presented by Mayor Betsy Price, and recipients were judged on business growth and performance, sound business strategies and practices, customer service strategies, business challenges, unique and innovative approaches, and community involvement. The winners were chosen from a field of 95 nominees, 40 applicants and a total of 12 finalists in four categories. Each finalist was judged on their written application and a site visit by business owners and professionals from the ranks of the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce.
“One of our biggest challenges is that we’re better known nationally than we are locally,” said Four Day Weekend founding member David Wilk. “To receive the honor of Small Business of the Year is an exciting opportunity to build our recognition here in DFW."
Four Day Weekend is grateful to all of the people who nominated them for this prestigious award, their friends and fans who supported them throughout the judging process, and to the blue ribbon judging panel who were charged with this challenging task. The title of Small Business of the Year is truly an honor. To learn more about Four Day Weekend Comedy, please visit http://www.FourDayWeekend.com.
