Bolton Blinds Company Announces Expansion Plans and Launches New Product Ranges
Bolton, Lancashire (PRWEB) February 27, 2014 -- The previous owner, Jack Carroll originally founded the Bolton blinds company in 1968.
Then employee and now the new owner, Simon Inns bought the Bolton conservatory blind shop in 2003 as Mr Carroll planned to retire from Bolton Sunblind Centre.
Almost immediately after taking over Simon began to make changes and as well as selling window shutters in Bolton (to the general public) he also began to focus on commercial customers.
He soon managed to secure contracts with blue chip clients such as the NHS, Manchester Airport and The Coop.
“The recession has meant that there has been a slight drop in supplying and fitting blinds to domestic customers, the commercial side of things has remained fairly steady though. Recently we have noticed an increase in enquiries from domestic customers so fingers crossed things are back on the up” explained Simon.
Bolton Sunblind Centre are on the approved supplier list for various facilities companies including: Interserve, Mitie and Covion enabling them to work with prestige customers like The Ministry of Defence and Shop Direct.
To further increase the chances of more commercial work Simon has recently completed various training courses to allow him and his Bolton blind fitters to service yet more businesses.
Courses recently passed include PASMA and IPAF.
PASMA are the lead trade association for the mobile access tower industry and run specialist training and safety courses for businesses.
IPAF (The International Powered Access Federation) promotes the safe and effective use of powered access equipment through its safety initiatives and training programmes.
“We enjoy fitting blinds for commercial customers but we love domestic jobs even more. The end result is often more satisfying and the customer really appreciates the room transformation which new blinds can bring” said Simon.
He added “To help us with domestic enquiries we have published a new brochure which features all of our products including the new energy saving conservatory range by Duette”.
Duette Shades feature a unique honeycomb construction that makes shades soft, durable, and highly energy efficient.
The shades built-in insulating characteristics help keep the heat out in summer and the warmth in during winter.
Duette blinds are available in a wide array of colours including pastel and metallic.
As well as being dirt and dust repellent the new ranges include various textures and designs and offer optimal light control and privacy.
“We will soon be opening a new shop in Prestwich (which is just outside of Manchester). It is ideal because it is has good transport links and is close to the motorway. Another advantage is that it is close to Manchester and central to Bolton and Bury”
He added “The new shop is an existing blinds business (which we will be taking over). We want more domestic customers and this should help us do that as there is plenty of space for our new products, displays and samples”.
“I expect the new conservatory range by Duette to be very popular and look forward to fitting the new energy saving range” said Mr. Inns.
The Bolton blinds shop offer a five year guarantee on all blinds and shutters fitted.
