Law Firm Bingham Greenebaum Doll Names Tobin McClamroch New Managing Partner
Indianapolis, Ind. (PRWEB) March 01, 2014 -- Bingham Greenebaum Doll, one of Indianapolis’ oldest and largest firms, has named Tobin McClamroch as its sole managing partner. As such, McClamroch will serve as the firm’s chief executive officer, leading the firm’s post-merger growth.
McClamroch had shared the title of co-chairman with Philip D. Scott for the past two years, as part of a transition period after the two legacy firms, Bingham McHale and Greenebaum Doll McDonald, merged in January of 2010. McClamroch, from Indianapolis’ Bingham McHale, and Scott, of the Lexington office of Greenebaum Doll, both had served as chairman of their respective firms.
“Bingham Greenebaum Doll, which will celebrate its Centennial Year in 2014, is very fortunate to have Toby, whose combination of intellect, integrity and vision, will continue to serve the firm well, especially now that the merger integration is completed. He has been instrumental in the significant progress we have made in merging our two law firms and has led the firm’s revenue growth for 2014,” Scott said. “I am certain that he will continue to provide strong and inspired leadership.” Scott, who is retiring as firm co-chair, is a litigator who will continue to practice in the areas of equine and international law.
During 2013, the firm saw an increase in both revenues and profits per capital partner.
A corporate and government lawyer, McClamroch is a former Parliamentarian to the Indiana House of Representatives and the Indianapolis City-County Council Majority Leader. He also will continue to practice law as he becomes managing partner.
In addition, the firm has further streamlined its leadership structure by moving from a relatively large management committee to a six-member Partnership Board, which is now chaired by Janet P. Jakubowicz, a litigation partner from the Louisville office. Other members of the new board include Keith A. Bice, Carolyn M. Brown, D. Rusty Denton, Dwayne C. Isaacs and Charles J. LaVelle.
BGD also named several new regional managing partners and practice group leaders. Hans Steck becomes the new office managing partner for Indianapolis and Brian M. Johnson becomes the office managing partner for Lexington. Mark H. Oppenheimer remains office managing partner in Louisville.
Leaders of the firm’s practice groups include Keith A. Bice and Peggy B. Lyndrup, Corporate & Transactional; Matthew Price, Economic Development; Carolyn M. Brown, Environmental & Natural Resources; John R. Cummins, Estate Planning; D. Rusty Denton, Labor & Employment; James M. Hinshaw, Mark S. Riddle and Wayne C. Turner, Litigation and Mark A. Lloyd, Tax.
“We are focused on organic growth and strengthening and deepening our relationships with clients,” McClamroch said of the firm’s future growth plans.
