Consumer Education Services, Inc. (CESI), a non-profit service provider of comprehensive personal financial education and solutions for all life stages, has partnered with Dr. Norman Godwin and the Raymond J. Harbert College of Business at Auburn University to promote personal financial literacy. Dr. Godwin has worked with the Harbert College of Business and the Auburn University Media Production Group to produce a series of financial videos, called Enrich Your Life with Norman H. Godwin, in which Dr. Godwin provides witty, insightful explanations of common financial topics.

Dr. Godwin, the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at the Harbert College of Business, provided the minute-long video clips for CESI to use as part of its financial education and outreach program. Each video discusses a single financial topic, such as wills, credit scores, or saving for the future, in easy-to-understand language to make the video relatable to diverse groups of people.

“I’m grateful that CESI will incorporate this video series into its collection of educational materials. My hope is that these installments will help consumers make decisions with clarity as they tackle everyday financial issues,” Dr. Godwin said.

The Enrich Your Life videos have been posted to CESI’s website, http://www.CESISolutions.org, as part of its Video Resources page to give consumers a new way of learning about personal finance. Additionally, the videos are available for consumers to watch for free on CESI’s YouTube channel (http://www.youtube.com/user/mycesi) and are being shared across CESI’s social media platforms as well. Education is a major part of CESI’s mission, so CESI hopes to make the videos accessible to as many people as possible through widespread distribution across multiple channels to help those who want to learn more about personal finance topics.

“CESI is very excited to make the Enrich Your Life video series available to people seeking to learn basic financial concepts,” said Cary Chandler, Chief Marketing Officer at CESI. “Dr. Godwin and the Auburn University Media Production Group have produced a very compelling and entertaining series of short videos that makes financial concepts very accessible and entertaining to people at all levels. CESI provides free financial education and counseling to over 50,000 consumers each year and we believe that through our website resources and social media that these important videos will reach a very wide audience and help many people reach a higher level of financial literacy.”
