Duncan, OK (PRWEB) March 11, 2014 -- The Duncan Automotive Swap Meet is conveniently located in the heart of the United States on the historic Chisholm Trail in southwestern Oklahoma. Located on US Highway 81 (a major regional North-South highway) it is 50 miles from Interstate 35 and 25 miles from Interstate 44.
There is a strong muscle car and antique car tradition in the area with many car clubs and enthusiasts. Oklahomans are can-do people - they enjoy finding old cars and parts to either rebuild or bring to the swap meet for others to complete a project. Due to the moderate climate and minimal use of road salts local vehicles stay rust free and quality parts are easily found. There are guaranteed to be great finds and deals all weekend.
Duncan is a progressive city of 24,000 with many hotels and restaurants. Shopping, museums and theaters are available for the entertainment of non-car buffs, so make it a destination weekend and bring the entire family so they can enjoy exploring.
The Duncan Swap Meet is held at the Stephens County Fair and Expo Center. This wonderful facility has 140,000 plus square feet under roof and 42 acres of grounds. Sixty five RV hook ups are available on the grounds with a dump station. The Stephens County Fair and Expo Center Main Arena has 77,000 square feet under roof. This area will be used for indoor swap meet spaces. The floor is concrete and dust-free.
The building includes a concession kitchen, restrooms and showers. The Livestock Pavilion has 57,000 square feet and will also have indoor swap meet spaces. The Livestock Pavilion has a concrete floor, concession kitchen and restrooms. The Stephens County Fair and Expo Center's Exhibit Building will be used for Duncan Swap Meet Automotive Related Memorabilia booth spaces. This building is fully climate controlled. Over 8200 square feet of space is available in this building for the swap meet. This building will have a full kitchen operating for hungry swap meet visitors and vendors.
Outdoor spaces are available at the Duncan Swap meet on either paved or grass areas.
