OutcomesMTM™ has launched a new Quality Division with the objectives of further aligning the company’s clinical programs with national standards and helping to shape the future of medication therapy management (MTM) programs. Dr. Jessica Frank, PharmD, a seven-year OutcomesMTM veteran, has been appointed Vice President over the newly-formed division.
“National policy changes have brought significant focus to the quality of care patients receive and have inspired new, innovative payment models that are performance driven,” said Frank. “By creating a new division centered on quality, we are striving to ensure our MTM provider network and programs perform in a manner aligned with the quality-oriented goals of our health plan clients.”
Quality assurance, clinical services and quality measurement will be key areas of focus for Frank’s team as they work to evolve the OutcomesMTM program in a manner that is consistent with the National Quality Strategy. In addition to guiding performance for clients, the team will maintain an active voice in shaping policy and quality measures across the nation. Medicare STAR Ratings, HEDIS and other emerging performance-based measures will form the roadmap for the OutcomesMTM quality strategy.
“I’m passionate about quality, so it’s rewarding to have this opportunity to focus on further aligning our program with what’s important to our clients,” said Frank. “Pharmacists are trusted by patients and prescribers within their communities and offer a scalable solution to achieve success with some of the most difficult medication management interventions.”
