...we were able to secure exclusive distribution for some of their newest and most beautiful rugs.

Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) February 28, 2014

Cyrus Artisan Rugs, a leading rug retailer based in Minneapolis, has just added an exclusive line of contemporary, traditional, transitional and tribal area rugs from Kalaty Rugs, a well-established rug wholesaler known for their huge selection of styles, designs and sizes in low-to-mid-priced handmade area rugs. “Because of our long standing relationship with Kalaty, we were able to secure exclusive distribution for some of their newest and most beautiful rugs,” says Alex Farahan, co-owner and managing director of Cyrus. “What attracted us about Kalaty was that they could supply us with modestly-priced rugs with more variety in room sizes and runners than any other rug supplier.” Many of these fine rugs can be found at Cyrus’ giant Minneapolis showroom, and all of them can be viewed and purchased on the brand new online rug store.

Kalaty Rugs are mostly made in India, using Himalayan wool and sometimes bamboo silk. These rugs are hand knotted in the traditional manner that goes back hundreds of years. The traditional rugs are based on ancient design motifs, as are some of the tribal rugs. Transitional rugs combine elements of traditional and modern, while the modern rugs are fashion forward works of art, designed by top designers.

Cyrus Artisan Rugs has emerged over that past few years as the largest retailer of handmade rugs in the Midwest, with their Minneapolis showroom boasting an inventory of about 3,000 handmade rugs on any given day. With the launch of their online rug store, Cyrus can now lay claim to being the world’s largest online rug store as well.
