Holland & Hart LLP is pleased to announce the addition of Bret Busacker to its Boise office as a partner in the firm’s tax law practice group.
Busacker is an experienced employee benefits attorney who advises clients on the spectrum of matters regarding benefit plan considerations, plan administration, compliance and governance concerns. He counsels clients through the formation and review of retirement and welfare plans, incentive compensation, equity compensation and executive compensation programs. In this capacity, he assists his clients with compliance matters in connection with tax, labor and securities regulations.
His clients include public and private businesses, governmental entities, nonprofit organizations, human resources executives, compensation committees and benefit committees, among others.

Busacker has specific experience advising clients on equity and incentive compensation; nonqualified and qualified retirement arrangements, ERISA fiduciary requirements; correcting IRS and DOL violations; SEC disclosure and filing requirements; health care reform and health and welfare plan administration.
Busacker is a graduate of The Ohio State University, Moritz College of Law (J.D., 2000), Washington State University, College of Business and Economics (M.B.A., 1997) and Brigham Young University (B.A., 1995). He is admitted to the state bars of Idaho and Ohio.
