"One Church // One Voice" and "Save America Gathering" Seek Prayers for the Kenyan Christian Terror Attack Victims
Martinex, California (PRWEB) March 25, 2014 -- "One Church // One Voice" is asking Christians, worldwide, to pray for the victims of the terrorist attack on a church, in Likoni, Kenya. Likoni is located near the port city of Mombasa, Kenya. The attack occurred on Sunday, March 23, 2014.
According to a March 24, 2014 broadcast, on "Africa Live," on CCTV News, both Muslim and Christian leaders have condemned the attack.
During the attack, which was carried out by members of al-Shabab, gunmen fired randomly into a Likoni church service, and then left the church, and fired on those standing outside the church, talking. The attack occurred during a prayer. The death toll has risen to six people, while 15 more remain hospitalized.
Said Robert Berry, of "One Church // One Voice," We have done a number ministry activities on the African continent, in Nigeria, Cote D'Ivoire, and Ethiopia. We understand that this is not the first al-Shabab attack in Kenya, over the past few years. "One Church // One Voice" has called for prayer against the persecution of our brothers and sisters, before. We hope that brothers and sisters, globally, will take time to pray about this persecution."
"One Church // One Voice" is the parent organization of "Save America Gathering," the organization that lead 2012's Washington, DC solemn assembly, "The Save America Gathering," which was held on the National Mall. The organization is presently engaged in running "555 Days of Prayer to Save America." The 555-day-long prayer event has reached day 386, today. The prayer event is divided into segments, including five primary outcries to God that each last one-hundred days. The current 100-day-long prayer is for the purification and restoration of The Church. That prayer has reached day 31.
