Bill Bone FloridaCycling.com Pro Am Series Continues in Winter Haven, FL
Winter Haven, FL (PRWEB) March 02, 2014 -- The next set of races are on the horizon this weekend with the 2014 Chain of Lakes Cycling Classic in Winter Haven, Florida. As a part of The 2014 Bill Bone FloridaCycling.com Pro Am Race Series, the race is sure to be highly competitive and a ton of fun. The races will take place on March 1st and March 2nd, rain or shine. The big race is presented by Fiat of Winter Haven and Dodge Chrysler Jeep of Winter Haven and has cyclists of all kinds gearing up for the exciting weekend in Winter Haven.
The 2014 Chain of Lakes Cycling Classic has been highly anticipated throughout the state of Florida. As the 6th year of the race, the hope is that Polk County will continue to grow as a premier bike racing spot. The race benefits the Polk County Humane Society, as it has since the very first Chain of Lakes Cycling Classic, and the race seeks to raise awareness and funds for a great and important cause. http://www.floridacycling.com/flyers/col14.pdf
Cyclists are warned of the typically big winds present during the Chain of Lakes races, so be aware that this factor is often a notable challenge for riders. Onsite registration for the Chain of Lakes Cycling Classic starts at 7am each day of the race, however, the Time Trial will be closing at noon onsite in order to assemble the start list. The start list will be posted both online and onsite by 2pm on Saturday, March 2nd so be sure to look out for that on FloridaCycling.com.
For those participating in the event as spectators and supporters of their cyclist friends and family, take a seat at the grand stands surrounding the turn 2/6 complex for a great view of all the action.
