An armed robbery can be a frightening experience for members of staff so it is important to have sufficient security systems in place to protect those on the premises.

(PRWEB UK) 1 March 2014

The Liverpool Echo reports on February 26th that police were called to Hollywood Superbowl in Edge Lane Retail Park after a group of individuals reportedly crashed their vehicle into a car carrying members of staff from the bowling alley. The male gang then reportedly forced staff members onto the premises before threatening them with a sledgehammer and leaving with a significant sum of money.

Police have released the CCTV images of the men they wish to identify following the incident. Police have also revealed details of the gang’s vehicle, describing it as a black Ford Galaxy car. The individuals were described as white, wearing dark hooded coats, and in their mid-20s.

Detective Inspector Andy Ephgrave told the Liverpool Echo that:

“This was an audacious robbery and we are determined to trace and arrest the people responsible. We have now released CCTV stills of a man who we believe may have information which could help us with our inquiries.”

As experts in commercial security systems, the team at AlertSystems understand the importance of having CCTV cameras installed on a business’ premises. A representative for the company took the opportunity to share their thoughts:

“An armed robbery can be a frightening experience for members of staff so it is important to have sufficient security systems in place to protect those on the premises. Crimes such as these can be difficult to predict, so having a CCTV security system installed on the premises can be a crucial step in protecting members of staff and customers. In the case of an incident, police can use the footage to further their investigations, identify those responsible, and bring them to justice.”
