BluesGuitar.com Releases “Blues Guitar Lesson - Killer Bending Licks in the Style of Eric Clapton and John Mayall - with Tabs”
(PRWEB) March 04, 2014 -- “This whole album really exemplifies some amazing Eric Clapton guitar playing”, says MacLennan, “this lick is going to teach us about bending and is just a good exercise”. Jon demonstrates the lick that is based in G Pentatonic as follows; first he slides from the 7th fret to the 9th fret on the 3rd string with his 2nd finger, followed by the 8th fret of the 2nd string with first finger. Next he bends the 11th fret of the 2nd string with 3rd finger up one whole step and picks it 8 times as 1/8th notes (1-&-2-&-3-&-4-&) and then releases the bend on the next down beat and then plays the 8th fret of the 2nd string to the 9th fret of the 3rd string and back to the 8th on 2nd string and then he repeats the whole sequence starting at the bend. Next he switches to the Major Pentatonic by doing the same bending sequence on the 10th fret of the 2nd string and then continues the bending lick by ascending up the neck and repeating it at the 11th fret and then the 15th fret. Jon continues the lick by demonstrating some other signature Eric Clapton licks. Guitar TAB’s for this blues lesson are available at BluesGuitar.com.
