St. Joseph, Michigan (PRWEB) February 28, 2014 -- Pier 33 Marina of St. Joseph, Michigan has announced dates for its annual Open House.
The 2014 Pier 33 Open House will be held March 15 and March 16, Saturday and Sunday, at the Pier 33 showroom.
Activities will include Pier 33’s traditional free Pancake Brunch on Saturday, from 10 a.m.-noon, with all area boaters invited to renew acquaintances and make plans for the upcoming season. Last year’s popular “How May Minnows” guessing contest will return and plans also include live entertainment, additional kid & adult games, a sand-castle building contest and a Sunday luncheon with St. Patrick’s Day treats on the menu.
This event is a traditional wrap-up to the winter boat show season for Pier 33: “We’ve met many boaters and boaters-to-be at boat shows in Chicago, South Bend and Grand Rapids during the winter, already,” says Pier 33 General Manager Tighe Curran, “and now that the travel weather is improved, this is an ideal time for everyone to visit our showroom.”
Pier 33’s showroom line-up will include new boats from Chaparral, Robalo and Pursuit, plus the region’s largest selection of used boats on display indoors. Curran senses a pent-up boating demand due to the cold winter. “Boaters are anxious for a chance to get out of the house and are looking forward to spring launch and the start of summer more than ever. It’s been a long time since we had to endure a winter this severe, but most boaters we’ve talked to lately are glad to know that the boating season is coming soon.”
Hours for the Open House are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday March 15 and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday March 16.
