OSHEAGA Music and Arts Festival: OutKast, Jack White, Arctic Monkeys and Many More in Montreal August 1-3, 2014
Montreal, Quebec, Canada (PRWEB) March 12, 2014 -- Since Thursday night, OSHEAGA fans have been having fun trying to guess what the the 2014 lineup will consist of by deciphering the hidden clues in a mural image on the festival’s website. Now we can officially reveal which artists will perform during the 9th edition of OSHEAGA, which will take place from August 1st to 3rd at Parc Jean-Drapeau in Montreal.
Headliners include hip-hop duo OutKast, rock outlaw Jack White, English rockers Arctic Monkeys, dark & sombre singer-songwriter Nick Cave, dubstep king Skrillex, Swedish pop star Lykke Li, punk-rock quartet Against Me!, Australian electro band Cut Copy, indie pop trio Foster the People and gypsy-punk group Gogol Bordello. OSHEAGA welcomed 135,000 fans last year, selling out all tickets for the second year in a row. Presented by Virgin Mobile in collaboration with Molson Canadian, the 2014 edition promises to once again offer an outstanding experience to local and travelling music lovers who enjoy nothing more than seeing and listening to countless talented artists outdoors on a hot summer weekend.
NEW STAGE
New this year: a sixth stage has been added in order to complement the offerings on the Galaxie Tree Stage. In an intimate yet exciting setting, this new stage will feature local and international emerging talents who will become tomorrow’s headliners.

Also available: Gold Festival Passes, whose holders will have access to the OSHEAGA Terrace, a multi-level platform offering a premium view of the two main stages, with access to private washrooms and exclusive food & beverage stands.

RFID - PLAY OSHEAGA
Once again this year, those who buy an OSHEAGA pass will receive an RFID bracelet. With this bracelet and the return of OSHEAGA PLAY, fans will have access to many surprises before and during the festival. Delivery will take place about a month and a half before the festival. More information will be announced at the same time.

Even more accommodation options than before are offered to festivalgoers visiting us from outside the city this year, namely the Bishop Mountain Hall (1 person room), La Citadelle (2 or 4 person room), the New Residence Hall (2 or 4 person room), UQÀM Résidences Ouest (2 person room), the Royal Victoria College (1 person room) and the Maison Molson Canadian (2 or 4 person room). All of the packages, which come in a variety of prices, include a festival pass, STM metro passes and other little extras to make the OSHEAGA experience even more enjoyable. OSHEAGA+MEG Pro is a music industry gathering created in 2010 by the two festivals. From July 31st to August 4th, agents, managers, festivals, labels, publicists, promoters and other key members of the industry gather through a series of concerts and networking activities specially designed for professionals. New this year: ADISQ will oversee a conference that will take place during the event.
FRIMAS
The Frimas initiative from the Consulat de France à Québec and the Institut français aims to put the spotlight on the best talent from France in Quebec. As part of this initiative French techno guru Laurent Garnier will perform at OSHEAGA, alongside Gesaffelstein, Tchami, Mahaut Mondino and the Von Pariahs. Big-time visitors!
