On March 29 from 12:00 to 5:00 pm, during Sips, Chips & Dips, visit the wineries along the Leelanau Peninsula Wine Trail to discover how well simple, everyday snacks pair with Leelanau wine. Participating wineries are offering a snack and complimentary wine pour. Visit http://www.lpwines.com for a complete list of these pairings. Cost for this event is free. This is a great opportunity to learn snack ideas and what Leelanau wines to serve during your March Madness parties!
Small Plates, a once-wildly popular trail event, is being reintroduced on April 25 and May 30. Participants enjoy a full glass of wine paired with a well-presented and substantial tapas dish in the tasting rooms or vineyards of participating wineries. Many of the wineries work with local chefs to prepare and serve the pairing offering a high-class food and wine offering, catering to culinary aficionados. Seatings at each participating winery are available at 6:00 pm, 7:00 pm and 8:00 pm; seatings are $15 each and one, two or three seatings can be selected for each evening.
“We are excited to offer a variety of creative ways to enjoy Leelanau wines to wine enthusiasts,” shares Lorri Hathaway, Director of the Leelanau Peninsula Wine Trail. Our always-popular events are a fun way to explore the flavors of our region.”
These events create a strong spring program for the Leelanau Peninsula Wine Trail, which already includes the annual Spring Sip & Savor event, known to sell out every year. More information about this and all trail events is available at http://www.lpwines.com.
