Schulman has joined our panel. Mr. Schulman brings more than four decades of industry experience to his ADR practice. He was Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Warner Bros. Entertainment for 25 years and currently serves as Executive Director of the Entertainment Law Program at USC Gould School of Law. At Warner Bros., Mr. Schulman built and oversaw the studio’s in-house legal staff of 150 attorneys, handling complex rights cases and copyright disputes as well as matters involving economic interests and participation claims.

In addition to overseeing the USC Entertainment Law Program, Mr. Schulman is currently a partner at Mitchell Silberberg & Knupp LLP. Mr. Schulman joined Warner Bros. in 1984 and since 1989, served as Executive Vice President & General Counsel. The legal department that he developed and staffed for the studio is widely considered to be among the industry’s best. He was involved with several high-profile cases at Warner Bros., including a breach-of-contract case against Francis Ford Coppola over the production of “Pinocchio,” and a suit claiming Oliver Stone’s “Natural Born Killers” was responsible for a copycat killing spree.
Prior to joining Warner Bros., Mr. Schulman practiced law at Kaplan, Livingston, Goodwin, Berkowitz and Selvin and later as one of the founding partners of the firm then known as Weissman, Wolff, Bergman, Coleman & Schulman.
