Popular Argentine Saxophonist to Appear at Friday Morning Musicale Theatre

Gato Barbieri has announced details for his one night show in Tampa. The legendary Argentine saxophonist will perform at the Friday Morning Musicale Theatre on Saturday, March 1st, 2014 at 8:00pm.

In a statement, Barbieri's management team said, "Gato is excited to return to Tampa Bay. His last show sold out. We look forward to thrilling fans with his storied music and Latin rhythms on March 1st."

About Gato Barbieri:
The popular jazz saxophonist and composer has been thrilling fans since the 1960's when he rose to fame during the free jazz movement. His most recent and 50th album, called New York Meeting was released in 2009. Currently Gato is touring and collaborating with director, Nancy Savoca, on a documentary called "el Gato: A lifetime contribution to Jazz." He is the recipient of a U.N.I.C.E.F award and is currently composing a collaborative CD for U.N.I.C.E.F on behalf of the children of Argentina.
