New Ballroom, Rooftop Deck and Meeting Rooms in Portland’s Historic Eastside Exchange Building to Be Added to VT Group’s Venue Roster
Portland, Ore. (PRWEB) March 03, 2014 -- VT Group, the company behind Vibrant Table and Food in Bloom, two of the Portland’s largest and most successful catering businesses, today announced it will add several event and meeting spaces located in the historic Eastside Exchange Building to its roster of exclusive meeting and event venues. An F&B Cafe will also open in the building this July.
The Historic Eastside Exchange building, located just south of the Burnside Bridge at 123 NE 3rd Ave., is one of many properties in Portland’s Central Eastside that has been revitalized by Beam Development in recent years. The venue includes a 6,200 square-foot ballroom, a 2,200 square foot rooftop deck and conference rooms ranging in size from 225 square feet to 600 square feet, which are all available to the public through Vibrant Table or Food in Bloom.
“The Central East side is at the geographical center of Portland and, thanks to companies like Beam, it’s becoming a much more happening part of the city. The building itself is an ideal spot for business events as well as celebrations of all kinds,” said Art Fortuna, president and owner of VT Group. “It’s close to the convention center and very easy to access. What’s more, it offers some of the best views of the Portland skyline in town.”
The Venue
The Eastside Exchange building was built in 1925 and has served as an ice cream cone factory, housing, office space and a retail distribution center. It was originally constructed for a furniture company and the area that is now the ballroom was built so that large carpets could be rolled out and inspected, which meant no supporting pillars could be used. As a result, the Exchange Ballroom offers a very large area completely free from obstructions with a fantastic view of the Burnside Bridge and the iconic White Stag “Portland Oregon” sign. The Cascade Rooftop is built from ipe decking and features stunning views of the river, the Portland skyline and seven different bridges. Both spaces offer endless possibilities for the type of over-the-top catered events for which Vibrant Table and Food in Bloom are known.
The building houses two separate conference rooms that can also be combined into one large room as needed. The Sub-Station room accommodates up to 14 guests, the PowerHouse room accommodates up to 126 guests. The two rooms can be combined to create the Prime PowerHouse room, which can accommodate up to 140 guests. Each room can be set up in multiple configurations and a wide range of state-of-the-art A/V equipment is available.
Booking and Availability
All conference rooms are immediately available for meetings and events. The Cascade Rooftop will open in the spring and the Exchange Ballroom will be available starting in June. Pricing depends on date, time and services required. For more information and booking contact Kyle Kornegay at 503-334-8624 or exchange(at)vtgrouppdx(dot)com.
